Our SOS problem and solution
Hey everyone I am pretty new here but wanted to pass along some info that might help someone in the future. We picked up my sons car from the body shop last week. The battery died while it was there and when we started it there was an SOS error, the radio had no sound, and the bluetooth stopped working. We thought it might be a coding issue because the door chimes worked and I could even talk to the BMW Assist center. Well long story short it was diagnosed to be the amp by a small shop near home so I luckily found one on eBay from a local seller. Drove down to pick it up and did a quick test. Right away the sound came back, SOS symbol disappears, and the BT function came back. Needless to say we were very happy so hopefully this info helps someone who might be scratching their head on a similar issue.
