Woohoo! Just got my Hartge lip
Well, after seeing a post on here on how a Hartge lip got damaged. I got a little worried since my lip was travelling all the way to asia.
Well, it's here and the Hartge store did a good job of adding packing materials as the wing arrived perfect. It's just a little dissapointing that for 400 euro, they only give you a fiberglass piece. I expected at least a Polyurethane piece for that price. |

Yub, when I picked up the original hartge lip, first thing out of my mouth was... what is this piece of shit. It's a nice lip but you would think for that much money they'll make it a bit nicer for you.

That to me is just CHEAP!! Fiberglass kits do not belong on BMW's or any nice car!! Especially the front lower lip!!
Be real careful parking your car! Danny

i am very disappointed with hartge front lip quality also.
Although, I still want to put it on because it looks so damn good, quality didn't look any better than ebay ABS plastic lip I bought long time ago.

To me, the Hartge lip is the BEST looking front lip I've seen to date...too bad...

Poly urethane is the best material for body kits. That stuff is so pliable and it does not chip or crack. I like Breyton. No one has it yet?

Yup, when I had a e36 years ago. I purchased a Alpina lip and it was Polyurethane. I expected the Hartge to be the same given the price but unfortunately, its just fiberglass.
I am seriously thinking of having it molded so that I have a back up when the real thing hits a parking stopper or something. |

Polyurethane droops over time and will change shape on a hot day. In addition, its impossible to repair once damaged. And yes, it does get damaged. It's a nice material but not always the best. They probably charge twice as much also for the lip.

Pare, where did you get your Hartge Lip from? Wanted to get one too but couldn't find any supplier here. I'm almost tempted already to have one custom made at A-toy bodykits. What's the ground clearance like compared to the stock lip?
