Silly Question

Just ordered a set of Bilstein B6's for my E90 and they arrived today. One of the struts arrived with paint chipped off of the lower spring perch. Its not bad, but maybe a dime sized area of paint missing. I could clean it up and paint it black or something easily to prevent corrosion.

Question is, would you send it back for a replacement, or just touch it up and install? I don't care so much about how it looks as how durable the finish will be over time. With the lifetime warranty, it may not matter if they corrode away.

It would most likely get nicks from little rocks being picked up by the tires so don't worry much about it.
