Can knock sensors be tested?
As the title says, can suspected knock sensors be tested? In this case, no error codes or anything other than possible symptoms, that being, pinging/detonation, performance and economy drop, hesitations, timing being retarded, etc. I know that these things are generally tough and hardly ever fail, and most of the time if there is a problem where there is a fault code, it comes down to being caused by loose bolts holding the knock sensors against the block.
