Hi all,
There have been much discussion regarding fitting E92 M3 brakes on a 320D etc The ones in front is now mounted, having more trouble with rear axle. I can now say that we have finally done it. Works perfectly. BIG PROJECT WITH ADJUSTMENTS AND FITTING...

Should have gone with just 335i brakes instead, they are nearly the same expect for the 2 piece rotors and are PnP...

I'm all for people doing these types of retrofit/DIY projects but if you were looking for a combination of bigger brakes/aesthetics/performance, why not just do a BMW Performance or equivalent mod instead of trying to modify components to make the M3 brakes fit? Someone tried to put F30 M Performance brakes on an E9X, but why?
But with that said, glad you were able to get them to fit without serious issues! |

I can be the first to use iphone as brake pads on e92, like these retards below, doesn't mean I should. Please tell me why you would need the M3 brakes on a car that only put down 170hp...

All joking aside... Nice job getting them to fit! I was pretty proud of myself when I was able to get 335 brakes on my 328 with the parking brake functional. Those front rotors DO look sweet... |

Anyways, I'm not putting him down. I ask how did he go about it and when he said is that his is the first non M with M3 I had to tell him that is not true. Now he will go about the rear brakes and will learn that the pedal will be mushy and the bias would be off. Then will go and install M3 master brake cylinder to fix that, which also has been done. <the M3 body conversion deserves respect> |
