BMW Performance Rear Diffuser and Cyba Air Scoops fitted
Update time again. Unfortunately I curbed one my alloys due to an over zealous truck driver driving too far over on the opposite side of the road and I had to move over or potentially lose the drivers side of my car. Absolutely gutted and felt sick at the sight of it. I couldnt bare to look at it so the wheel went in for refurb the next day. Whilst I waited for the wheel to be done I didnt drive the car as on the drivers side of the car I had the M359 wheels and on the passenger side I had my original MV3's. The drive home from the alloy refurb place was awful so just left it parked at home and used my wife's car instead. They took both wheels off the side to ensure a perfect colour match.
Anyway a week later and the wheel was as good as new and back on the car. Been crazy busy as Ive had a house move as well as fracturing my metatarsal bone but as posted I did pick up a 335 Performance diffuser and had it painted too. As ever RajB was on hand with the install. Got it done earlier this week. Install is relatively straight forward but be prepared for the cutting. RajB used a good old stanley knife and remove the bits of offending plastic. Its not a huge amount but at the same time the thought of cutting off bits of original trim can make you think twice. For anyone planning on installing one you will need to cut off bits off both sides of the bumper. So here are the install pics. I mentioned to RajB we could just fit it on his drive way thinking it would only take 45 minutes but be prepared for a bit longer as more trimming than we thought had to be done in order to get the diffuser to fit. Apologies for the pictures as we were losing light since it was my bright idea to not bother putting the car in RajB's garage and instead leave it on the driveway! Original 335 diffuser off Section of bumper that needs to be trimmed Section removed Other side trimmed Bits removed off the original bumper Diffuser on the car RajB helped source the diffuser and it was complete with everything - all the additional trim pieces which did make me do a double take due to the cost: £36+VAT for 1 small plastic piece of trim of which you need 2 - one for each side! However, once the diffuser was on I could see why the trim was needed as it helps to cover up the section of bumper than you have to cut in order to install it. The cut section is not really visible from above but if you are below you will notice it but with trim piece in place its covered. Diffuser installed and I am very happy with how it looks. However my OCD kicked in as I noticed that the custom 335 style exhaust I got made for the original diffuser are slightly out as the tailpipes are literally a few millimetres apart so dont line up as exact as they did. Anyway Ive booked in with Immy at Torqueflow to get it adjusted this weekend so hopefully that will be sorted on Saturday. Also bought and installed some Cyba air scoops too. No idea why I bought red instead of black because once I installed them I thought the car looked like it was having a nose bleed! Anyway, removed them and spray them gloss black then put them back in. You cant really see them but thats fine with me. Think if my car was black I would have kept them red. Sprayed in gloss black and installed on car before I put the grills back on Installing the air scoops is dead easy and is literally a 10 minute job. I have said to RajB no more mods since Ive got to sort a mortgage out in the next few months so it may go quiet in this build thread but who knows...... I think I have the car how I want it for now so will try and enjoy it as it is and resist the urge for more mods but watch this space. Once again huge thanks and props to RajB for everything! Anyone that has met him or had him do any work for them on their car will know what a top bloke he is and just how fastidious he is with his craftsmanship. Cheers again dude!! Exhaust adjustment
Since the installation of the BMW performance diffuser the exhaust tips didn't really line up. Basically the passenger side was slightly shorter than the drivers side.
The difference was literally a few mm but it was enough for me to notice and if I pointed it out to people they noticed it too so it was back to Torque Flow in Birmingham who built the exhaust for me originally to do some adjusting. Explained it to Immy and told him what I wanted. He did explain it can be difficult to get perfect but he was confident he could work his magic so he got on it by cutting off the passenger side tip and slightly extending it out. All done and it sits much more equal and uniform now Much happier with how it looks now |

Looks awesome! Its something Ive been thinking about doing on and off for mine since I got it.
Do you mind me asking how much the exhaust work cost (not including diffuser) |

The cost for the exhaust work was £350 but I've got a petrol so I had to pay for a new back box. I reckon for a diesel (since you don't need a backbox) it will be in the region of £200-£250. Diffuser being extra of course.
