LCI Tail light retrofit - New FRM?
Hi all,
I just called my local BMW dealer for a price on the E92 LCI retrofit adapters and surprisingly they were cheaper than anywhere I've found online! Anyway, the guy in parts said to me that the workshop manual for doing this retrofit said my car had an older FRM and therefore would need a new FRM to be able to receive the coding BMW apply. Has anyone heard of this before? I imagine they are saying this because rather than just disabling bulb checks like all of us DIYers do, I imagine the dealer would flash the FRM with the actual LCI software...? Basically, does anyone know if my older FRM will have issues with the LCI tail lights if i simply use Carly for BMW to disable bulb checks? Thanks Vish |

I have Carly for BMW wifi adapter and app. I also happen to have a short circuit on my reverse lights. I wasn't aware that I could disable bulb checks (same as counter reset?) If so is there a diy somewhere? Thanks

In the FRM module there is an option named something like "Voltage Monitoring" for each light module, disabling this on the faulty light module will stop the errors i believe.
