I know somebody that knows somebody that could do it to digital clusters, you can buy contact info from Me after you wire $10,000.00 into my account ahead of time. DEAL?

For you kids in the audience, we didn't have the internet back then. So a glimpse of Phoebe in the movies was as good as it got! |

Its impossible to do in the new BMW's. They use a chip that has security that doesn't allow the odometer to be decreased. It can only be increased. Even if you remove the chip and replace with a new one - other ECu's in the car also hold the information and if the info doesn't match, then the odometer is set to the highest value in the car.
You would need to swap out all ECU's in the car to get the odometer down. |

First the cars like, E90/92 records the mileage not only on the cluster.
I heard there are 3 things that record it, one is cluster.(I think the other one is transmission) Now days, dealer checks all 3 of their mileage. And(you might know already) cars that came out after 2003, if you unplug the wires behind the cluster, most of them, cars won’t start until you reprogram them from the dealer. Is your method avoids all these problems???

Sloan was a piece of ass I agree.
Maybe I'm one of the only idiots who purchased additional miles (10k) at the discounted 20% rate just last week but shit, I been to jail and its not pretty. Although I deserved it, at the time I felt justified for what I did but after a day I knew nothing was worth where I was at But holy shit would I be kicking myself in the ass feeling like a complete idiot for having to do time for setting back my odometer. I already had my car taken away for 3 months so I am playing it safe these days. |

Jail would suck, IMHO. I have no desire to even test the waters. Phoebe Cates was totally hot! And that was a great movie!

I remember the issues with E46's and people unplugging the speed sensor wires at the wheels. Speedo stopped working but the tach still did and miles wouldn't get racked up at all while driving.

I have the answer to your question. What you have to do is unplug the battery and wait 72 hours. Then you connect the toe hook to the rear bumper and you have to pull the car backwards. When you reconnect the battery the car will register a negative magnetic charge that will reset your odometer to 1000 miles. Good luck.

It could be done on japanese cars. I know of guys that did it on their acuras and honda. It didnt matter if it was digital. The only thing you have to understand is that you have to know someone that does your inspections. The reason being is that every year that they do an inspection your odometer reading is entered. And the state now knows how many miles you have. In order for the role back to work you should always have the inspection center put less miles than you have so that when you actually do role your miles back it matches up. If you role your miles back say to 24K but the inspection center said you had 35K, well then your up shits creek.
Now regarding BMW its more difficult. From what I understand everytime you use your keyfob it registers the last mileage you had. So if you role them back the moment you insert your key or start her up using your push button your miles come back. Therefore dont ever use your second key, and once you role back if you decide to do that you then buy a new key for like $300.00. If you feel its worth it. But before I get flamed I will say I may be wrong on everything that I wrote regarding the japanese cars and bmw. None of this information is criminal use and is strictly for amusement. |
