Just do the ghost cam tune to the z4. Now that we've settled that I'll take the corvette off your hands so you can pay attention to the z4 you want.

Your Z4 had a thing called dual overhead cam and variable cam timing on both intake and exhaust to ensure optimum valve open/close time. This has been around on intake cams since around 1990, 25 years ago. Since then, on a modern engine, even with pretty wild cams (notice the "s" in cams), you can get silky smooth operation at any RPM including idle. Not having this and being caught back in last century is not a "feature".

As much as I love a lumpy cammed LS engine (A C6Z will prob be my next car) this is completely true.

On the flipside it makes upgrading a tuning easier to not have all that stuff in the way.

Yeah it's cool, I'm sure particularly on the track. Not that it's a direct comparison because the Vette is a much more sophistiticated piece but I had a 2012 Boss 302 that was Kona Blue that with the track key had a lopey idle (not quite as wild as that). I used to call it the Purple Love Machine. It was a real panty dropper for fat chicks with tattoos...

Not quite as wild but personally I like my high milage 335xi much more and look forward to modding it so that it will spank the Vette. It's a BMW. Lol.

Enjoy it.
