Sirius Sattelite Radio

My 06 330i has the I Drive with Sirius. Like some others I am having problems with the Sirius cutting out and aquiring signal alot. No bridges, tall buildings, clouds, rain, or any obstructions to the sky above. This seems to happen in the rural areas I travel. In the Dallas Metroplex I do not have a problem unless I am under a bridge or tall buildings (to be expected). I took the car into the dealer this week to have it looked at. They kept it all day and came back to me stating that BMW is aware of the problem and they are working on a software update fix!! Has anybody else heard of this? Would it be a software problem? I thought they would have found a loose antenna connection or some other hard wired problem.

This happens to me on and off as well. Funny that you are also in the Dallas area (I am in Allen), but there are spots on 75 and 635 that are like "dead zones" where it cuts out every time and takes like two minutes to re-acquire. Really annoying. Hope they can find a solution.
