Tire Recommendations

Currently looking for a wheel and tire package, I don't want to get the Generals, for fear that they're quality isn't that high, and Pilot Sports because they're too expensive. Is there a middle ground tire anyone has installed on their wheels which they can vouch for and reaffirm they're quality.

Generals rock...I have driven them on rain and light snow with no problems...don't under estimate them. Just do a search on tirerack.com and see the customers reviews.

+1. From all the research I have done they seem to be a very good tire for the price. Check out all of the reviews on Tire Rack

Good tires for the $$$. Lets be clear here. They are no Michelin PS2.

I understand, but what would be a middle level tire between the two?

Falken and Nitto are priced in the same range and are better tires.

I would look into the Bridgestone RE-01R's. They run about 100 dollars cheaper per tire then the PS2's and provide better traction. The PS2's are an old tire and their are newer and better tires out there. Trust me, I go through tires a couple times a year and see many different kinds when racing.
