I'm happy with the LM22's, although we haven't had a ton of snow and it gets cleared pretty quickly. I "played around" when we had snow and ice and DSC worked pretty well. There's still some occasional sliding when starting up, but nothing major.

I was parked next to a matching car at *$ this morning and the other driver said he couldn't drive his car until he got winter tires/wheels. I wish I had asked him what tires he had, just for curiosity.

Continental Contiviking Contact 3 winter tires... best winter tire I have EVER owned. #1 rated winter tire by Motor Magazine in Norway since 2002. Not a performance winter but hugely grippy on ice and snow. Not too bad on dry pavement either and really, really quiet for winters too.

I live in a relatively heavy snow area too and couldn't be happier. My wife makes fun of me because I get excited to drive in snow storms

In our experience the Blizzaks have better snow and ice traction, while the Conti has been a bit more responsive in dry grip and cornering.

I have the Conti TS810S. 235 front, 265 rear. They do fine in snow, given the wide aspect ratio, and the limited ground clearance of the 335. Let me put it this way: I have been able to start from a dead stop on a steep hill with them, no problems driving around in a fresh unplowed 6-8" snowfall, and they work well on freezing rain ice. But Blizzaks would be better in snow. Where the Contis excel is dry and wet handling and high speed cruising. Blizzaks are too mushy for me, I don't feel safe at high speeds on them. The Conti TS810S is much closer to a high performance all season tire. I really like them, excellent combination of dry, wet, and snow performance, quiet, good ride. Highly recommended unless you are in serious backroad conditions.

I am using LM-22 on my TL and like them alot. Good snow and ice performance, quiet ride compared to other winter tires and reasonable winter performance.
