KW V3 Install Impression
I just had my V3's installed and I have to say that I am very impressed by the way it feels, especially in the snow and the New England roads. They feel very close to the stock suspension with a more aggressive stance.
I will add pictures later. I dropped it an inch all around and the front looks slightly higher than the rear, but I want to wait till the shocks settle a little before I decide on a good height (also do not want to pay for multiple alignments). |

hey whats up..i just had the kwv3s installed and i also think they feel great. My height in the rear is perfect, but my fron is also about .5 inch higher than the front. My shop said he put everything to middle settings. Then i asked if i could drop the front a little more to be the same as the rear and he said it would not be a good idea. He said u should have all the same setting for height and compression. Besides the xis are supposed to sit higher in the front. Also when doing 70 mph the front will lower to be aesthetically perfect. i dunno. anyone else know if i can drop the front to even it out. lata

Just measure from the same point on both sides up to the top of the spring perch where the bottom of the spring sits. I measure from the tab that sticks off of the shock body and overhangs over the metal coupler that holds the strut in place. If you take your wheel off you will see what i'm talking about.

http://www.kw-gmbh.de/kw_upload/Einbau/eah68620048 I have a question, too. What method is used to adjust the compression and rebound on the dampers? I'm looking into buying KWV3s this spring.

There is a knob at the top that adjusts rebound, it has, (I believe) 3 turns of adjustment. the newer KWs click. the bottom has a little post that sticks out with holes in it and you turn the knob with a spring clip. kind of hard to describe, but it's covered in the KW manuals.

Sounds pretty straight forward. What about the rear? Is it a pain to adjust the comp/rebound?

In Long Island, of course you would need to pay Eric @ RPM Racing a visit.
