winkfp error 211 - everything flashing
Hi,
I have a 2011 (March 2010 build) 335d. I just attempted to use WinKFP to program TELE15. Around 70% through flashing it popped up with an error. It is also running the wiper blades and the car blinks but won't turn on. The error is: Error 211: Error on flash programming! 2089 PABD switching programming mode failed 10FLASH,DIAGNOSE_MODE (ECUPM): ERROR_ECU_SECURITY_ACCESS_DENIED__SECURITY_ACCESS_ REQUESTED 7054 PABD clear flash done - no answer from ECU (IFH-0009) but gateway o.k., no OPPS/Most 10FLASH,FLASH_SCHREIBEN (...): IFH-0009 No response from controlunit 7054 Error clear flash done - no answer from ECU (IFH-0009) but gateway o.k., no OPPS/Most SG_PROGRAMMIEREN 7054 Error clear flash done - no answer from ECU (IFH-0009) but gateway o.k., no OPPS/Most Please help! I can't get my car to turn on now... Lucky it's a long weekend... In addition, how can I tell which units need updating? Nachum |

Modules on the MOST bus should be reprogrammed with an ICOM interface and not a K+DCAN cable.

Hi,
So I need to purchase a new cable? Can you recommend one? Also, should I be able to recover the module and get my car working again? Or would I need to buy a new control unit? Thanks, Nachum |

You should be able to successfully reprogram it with ISTA/P and an ICOM interface.
I can't recommend one personally, there are a lot of Chinese clones out there. One member reported that this one worked for him recently: http://www.amazon.com/AUTOS-FAMILY-V.../dp/B00S3A9IA2 Your mileage may vary. That module shouldn't prevent the car from starting.

I will look into purchasing an ICOM or finding someone to help me with fixing the module. Thanks!
BTW, the car doesn't start. All it does it flash lights a bit. Engine doesn't even try to start. I have unplugged the negative terminal of the battery and waiting a few minutes. Didn't help. I am trying that again for longer. Any suggestions? Nachum |

Using the ICOM interface - would I still need a battery charger to maintain 70A through charging? I saw someone recommend the INC-700A.
Also, do you know how I can find out which modules need updating? I can't quite figure that out. Thanks again, Nachum |

I also recommend following BMW's guidelines during coding, diagnostics, and/or flash reprogramming: If you load the latest SP daten, WinKFP in comfort mode will always recommend the latest ZB number for a given module.

For ECU TELE15, I have 9231090. There is also 9231091. Are those the flash versions? It's pretty unclear to me if those numbers indicate a hardware variation or the flash versions.
If they're hardware variations, then where do I see the flash version that will be burned and the flash version that is currently on the ECU? Thanks |

To see which ZB number is currently flashed, see question #7 of my FAQ: http://www.e90post.com/forums/showpo...48&postcount=2 To learn more about WinKFP... The manual is located in C:\EC-APPS\NFS\DOKU.
