Download music from hard drive to thumb drive?

I have a 2011 335is with idrive. I have a lot of music stored in the vehicle on the HDD. Is there a way to download it to a thumb drive and transfer to another car?

Thanks for your help!

Dennis

I believe that functionality is not available. Far as I know, you can only add and delete files.

I can save from HD to USB on my 2010 E92 with iDrive. At least the option is there - I've not actually tried it.

I think it outputs to AAC or WMV (I don't remember which), but it scrambles with the file extension so you have to manually change the extension back.

That sounds like a time consuming task............
