they will be lost after you reset (recode) the modules back to stock. which is part of the process so after you finish deleting 2VB from the VO then f_a write to cas module. you need to reset dcs, cappl, cic, kombi back to factory....

then all your setting will be lost... but you can always code everything back ..no problem..

First, you need to disconnect the TPMS module located behind the battery/firewall. Then proceed to remove the VO and code the modules.

what happens when module is unplugged and VO code is removed, does the TPMS menu just disappear from idrive? Are there any negatives to doing this with regard to DSC etc?

Can anyone write a walk through?

What fuses are you guys removing? I looked into 13 and 28, but doing so disabled the iDrive controller. It would no longer do anythign and the screen was stuck on whatever menu it was in last. Car is a US 2007 335i with CCC Navigation (CAPPL).

If you have idrive, you can't remove the fuse. TPMS shares the same fuse with idrive. Instead, you do everything else but remove the fuse.

Thanks. Pulled the connector to the RDC in the trunk, put the fuses back, coded, and everything is as it should be! No more TPMS and iDrive functions well

I love this forum.

Hey, if anyone is still interested in this, I was able to turn off TPMS AND activate RPA FTM on my E84 X1. It's E89 based, so the steps might work for E90 as well. Specifics here: http://e84.xbimmers.com/forums/showthread.php?t=1145078

Hey improvius, just wanted to let you know I used your instructions and they worked perfectly. Youdaman!

I had a little freak out when my abs/dsc/4x4 light turned on after coding, but after a short drive around the block the light went out and it hasn't come back.

They ought to sticky your thread.
