DME failure at WOT on a highway, good times..

30BA and misfires at 1-2-3, misfires cleared, 30BA persists. Obviously the common MSD80 MOSFET failure. Just dont like losing power at highway speeds..

I have about 8 of them out of the 10 that I bought. I could send you some for a few bucks.

I use digikey... But the above option from fiftw would be best...
If you need to have the repair done on I have a buy that does it

Yeah I think I'll take you up on that, I doubt my warranty is going to cover this so I'm getting ready to do the repair myself. PM me

Awesome, I appreciate that. I was going to try Digikey next since I read in an older thread that was where people sourced them.

Update! Just got my DME put back in the car, and she runs like a top. Huge thank you to Bmwfixerguy and FIFTW

Time to go have some fun and enjoy the car

1 week down felt like a year.

All in all, 3 MOSFETs failed, and the coil for cylinder 2 was taken out when the whole ordeal went down. If it wasn't for a good community for this platform, and some big favors from a couple members, I'd probably be out $2k+ for a new DME.
