I recently have the same problem, there is a you tube video that is pretty strait foreword (BMW E90 DS Sport Mode & Manuel) but I am also hesitant to try it speaking with my mechanic about it let you know how I proceed when I decide what to do. If you find someone local who has done it let me know please.

Ive fixed this problem on my old 335xi. I would possible be able to help. Not too bad of a fix. Im in Astoria.
So basically, when you try to get into DS mode, it jumps back to D? Same with Manual mode? However, i only spliced and taped up the wires. Which is 100% fine, but soldering it would be best.
