Alternate ground for the Procede?
Has anyone found an alternate place to ground the Procede that makes a good solid connection?
I was hoping someone has done this by now since shops know to look for the wire going to the normal ground block. |

Doesn't the ECU need to have a ground wire also?

There's a torx screw inside the back of the ECU box, but it's difficult to get to (I think), and obviously, you need a torx wrench. Does anyone know if this would work?

I used the screw below the plastic box cover. The one where the whole plastic engine bay piece is held on by two 8mm nuts. I slid it below the clip for that. Now its covered and going around the box instead of outside of it.

Not sure which one you're talking about. Would you mind taking a quick pic of that?

Thanks, man. That's definitely a better solution, since it's covered. For the wire to be fully inside the box though, I guess you could attach it to that torx screw inside the ECU box...anyone have a torx wrench?

I looked at that solution but after scraping my hands up on the box trying to remove the pieces to get to it, I gave up.

I checked the location of that bolt in that picture and it seems to be connected to a plastic piece, not metal. So how could this bolt be connected to ground? Thanks.

((sigh)) Kick over a rock sometime instead of just seeing it as a rock on the ground. There might be buried treasure underneath.

So that piece is metal underneath? Did someone verify it with a voltmeter? Thanks.

I did not get a good continuity to ground on these torx screws. I am looking for something under the dash when I run the USB thru the firewall.
