im amazed the keep the same format. thats format was suited and probally written for or by the 3 amigos thats why it was entertaining.

Not a fan of Chris Evans never have been and Matt LeBlanc as a presenter??????? didnt blow me away.

they had a perfect opportunity to revamp the format as even that was getting long in the tooth with the other 3 basically arsing about infront of camera but they didnt. TV license well spent.

hope they diverted more budget into things like peaky blinders.

Top Gear is dead

100% better this week. Still a long way off but at least it was watchable. MLB is growing on me ever more.

Button was great - I reckon another 5 mins and Evans would have thrown up!

Looks like they are heading in the right direction, more focused on fast cars and some good reviews. Chris Harris FTW! Although, you can see Evans and Matt are trying too hard.

Hated the original top gear with all the caravan burning and boat travelling bollocks.

I found the first episode terrible but gave it a chance as it was a new show. Found episode 2 even worse. Only the McLaren was interesting. Episode 3 was better by far, but please BBC drop the Le Blanc Misfit!

Get rid off Evans and replace with Harris and I'm back in. That would make it tolerable and I can just FF through all the studio crap and boring stuff with celebrities.

Watched the first episode for 15 minutes, and couldn't stand Chris anymore, he just try too hard and was hyper all the bloody time, what the hell was all that about!? Just found it utterly boring to be honest!

Third episode was far better. Again, the let down was Chris Evans' film. Replace him with Chris Harris and it would be miles better. That Ken Block piece was ace!

...and what the hell is this 'star in a rally car' b0ll0cks? Scrap that too.

I think the only reason why they insist on clinging onto SIARPC/SIARC is so they can fulfill endorsement deals whatever the guests are flogging/can be easily edited out for countries that need to air the program with adds/it's cheap/changes type of program for funding purposes.

Boring for me when I used to watch it. Always a handy time to go to the toilet if I was watching live.

Hated the first ep but the last with sabine, chris harris and the other new guy was much more tolerable and a worthy car show. I must be one of the very few who had by the end of the last era had become very fed up with the Clarkson, May and Hammond combo it was just 3 old men doing the same things week in week out with different cars and trying to get a close to the offending limit they could pushing their luck with the Beeb until Clarkson indirectly punched it. Either way with Top Gear I wasn't happy before and am not happy now they really had the scope to bring something good to the table yes Evens should have been the producer only had the line up he has but instead of him producing should have brought in Tiff and I think they could have something special with a laid back pub like/banter feel strongly focused on the cars, drivers and motor sport happenings with the odd petrol headed celeb/collector interveiw and the odd collection/garage visit with a focused drive or track edit of a special car in said collection/garage. I cant blame Evans totally for how it is now as like everything beeb there are strong underlines of it must be done this way or else or it worked in this format before so keep it put new blood in give it a shake and it will be alright the only thing the Beeb still are totally untouchable at is wildlife docs as they are pioneers and groundbreakers but sadly Attenbourgh and his ike of forward thinking producers, channel commissioners he was revolutionary when in charge of BBC2) and presenters are a dead if not dying breed.
