PI controllers other than Split Second?

Are there other controllers other than the Split Second controller (aka AIC)? I keep seeing people asking what controllers others are using, but I can't find anything other than this...? What am I missing?

Haltech and AIM AIC
Also syvecs but crazy expensive
SS is by far the most cost effective and injector harness exists where as with other you will need to make your own harness.

To be honest you could make any fuel injector controller work even a DIY mega squirt if you wanted to be really cheap and have some good DIY abilities

Awesome, I'll have to check all those out. I'm a ways away from upgrading, but now I know!

The JB4 with the new port injection board add on is one of the best integrated and easiest to tune port injection control systems out there. The system can detect if an injector is unplugged or clogged, compensates automatically for low fuel pressure variances, and ties in to the JB4 so the port injection mapping changes as you change the JB4 map in dash or boost targets via your phone.

Mike, is it stand alone PI controller integrated into the JB4 with the add on or does it still require the SS controller with features you described also built into the JB4?

Also if you have JB4 with the add on you described then you just buy the PI kit without the SS controller and you have what you need to make it work? Does the JB4 add on come with a harness for the injectors that adapts into the JB4 harness? How much is the add on?

For those that don't know microsquirt is the baby and low cost option of megasquirt

Pure,
That's awesome you have that working with microsquirt, definitely a low cost option for the hardcore electronics DIY person if they know how to solder and follow instructions or just buy the fully assembled microsquirt for a bit more. Did you make your own injector harness?

Looks like this and connects to the JB4 and fuel injectors. It replace the AIC6 BMS was packaging with their kits previously.

Mike
So the BMS PI controller automatically adjusts PI injectors based on needed fueling?

Once installed the JB4 is controlling the PI system. I don't run PI myself so I don't have details on how its mapped out currently. There is some addl info on that in their PI thread on n54tech.

Yes. The JB4 detects when fuel is needed and sends a signal to the PI controller to increase fuel.
