how much is my e90 worth
I have a 08 E90 335xi with not many options maybe one just the cold weather.
Its a blue with a beige interior and its actually had one accident that i found out about when i tried to sell it about less than a year later. Hood, bumper, and maybe a fender or two have been replaced/repainted. Wouldn't be surprised if it had frame damage but by driving it and the look you wouldn't know it. At 50k it was worth 17k to trade it 2 years ago, not bad and really I don't know why I didn't take it. Now the car has 100k and it was a complete money pit to own so I am way underwater on it including the repairs on the cost of ownership. How much is it worth? I tried KBB and it doesn't even show 17k for a car with no accidents with 50k miles which is weird. |

its going to hurt when you hear what its worth. i work for bmw and just from the options, miles, and accident, i would say around 5-8k. best way to find out is do an auto trader trade appraisal. you should see a "trade my car" tab. that will get you pretty close to what competitive dealerships will give you on trade.

But that's only because I saw my car get appraised at 17k once with 50k miles. I can't even find 17k on the kbb for it!

I've bought and sold a ton of cars private party. For me it would come down to the current condition and how extensive that past accident was. If there is uncertainty around frame damage- that's going to severely impact demand and market value. If it were me, I would figure that out by bringing it to a mechanic.
If it was in good condition, no SES warnings or frame damage and a good service history- I would anticipate private party value to be in the $10k to $12k range. Damaged frame and poor mechanical condition expect $5k-$8k. |

does it have a savage title? if its in good cosmetic condition with clean title i would say you can probably sell it for $10-12k,
I had a 2011 black on black 335xi 6mt no options with about 65k miles and a salvage title that i sold for $15k a few months ago. |

You asked for an opinion and received a few. Something is only worth what someone is willing to pay. First you need a mechanical/frame inspection to know what you have. Be sure to have a clear ad with solid pictures, if it doesn't sell within 90 days you're likely overpriced. There is a reason these cars are depreciated, early e90s are known to fall apart and be costly to maintain with over 60k miles.
Good luck. |

I asked another member for Manheim auction prices and they said no 07 e92 335i with more than 100k miles sold for more than 10k. I estimated mine was a 8-9k auction car based on it needs some paint work and an oil leak fixed to bring it back to about a 12.5-13k retail value.
When I priced my car I did a 300 mile radius search for similar cars and discounted about 1500-2k less than what retail dealers were asking for. Ended up selling it via eBay for 10.5k

I could also get about that cash if that's what I wanted. But we will see I want to drive it a little more.

I was trying to sell my 2007 335i w/ 91k miles, 2 years of warranty and about $3-$4k in maintenance done in the last year private party for $13,500. My car is also 0 accident and clean title. I got 0 hits and honestly I gave up. |

I had a salvage 04 330ci with 148,000 miles that I sold in March for $9,000. Lol, I still can't believe how lucky I got, especially considering the fact that I sold it for that price with the car being rear ended. Guy really wanted manual and mine was the only one available in stick.

I sold it for 8500 and I could've easily gotten 9. It had like almost 95k miles on it and it was going to need some maintenance very soon. I take pride in selling a car with no major issues. CarMax was easy and pleasant to deal with.

So you are putting in the same year car, but with 50k miles, 2 years later, and expect to get the same 17k result? Am I reading that correctly?
