I have a MSV70 and CAS from a 2006 330I, I want to put it in a 2006 530I, but the 530 has the old style metal key, will it still work?

I looked on realoem and the 06 330 and 530 use the same dme, but will the key need to communicate with the CAS for it to start?

Why are you changing the DME and CAS?

IDK. I have someone who wants to buy one from me, but he his car uses the old style key, not the newer fob. I need to know if it will work for him so he can get his car running.

If i have both DMEs, i can make it work with his original key. They would just have to resynch it with their CAS.
