Must have been old stock if the one you got had that problem. The one I got from Jeff@TGS a few months ago fit with no issues.

I thought old stock may have been the fix but it wasn't. It has something to do with whoever is tooling the OEM style connection.

The bad batches are still hit or miss even on new inventory.

It's really the luck of the draw and has no rhyme or reason to whom or where you purchase, that's our experience with them so far. That being said the amount of problems are small in comparison to the larger number of sold. As other buyers can vouch for we have all them replaced at no extra cost to the buyer.

If you intend on having a shop install them, don't. It's a 30-45 min install with even the most amateur installers. There's a few 8mm bolts on the under-shield to be removed and a couple clamps.

Interesting, glad the one I got didn't have that defect...

Hi guys
I'm interested to change my stock intercooler with Mishimoto or VRSF 7 model but I don't know witch one is better.
My car is 335i e92 2009 with ER charge pipe,KN air filter,MHD stage1 and after I get the intercooler I will change also the DP's.I want to get around 450-500 hp in the near future. To be honest I prefer Mishimoto due to easy installation, but on the other hand VRSF is bigger and cool better. The max temp in my place is about 34°C(93°F) in the summer and the lowest is -10°C(14°F),if this detail is matter...

Apples and oranges.

VRSF is a 7" FMIC, much larger, so it would be better in terms of overall cooling capacity.
