Race Gas Mix (PROCede v2.0.2)
Hey Guys,
I'm going to the dyno again and may want to put in race gas to check the settings at 100% The guys at the shop have Leaded C16, I'm a little worried about putting in leaded gas, any suggestions? Also, what octane did the rest of you run while on 100%? Thanks, Ado

Don't use leaded gas! It will ruin your o2 sensors. There are four of them and they are expensive

The kitty cats don't like lead too much either. The best stuff to run is 100 octane UNLEADED gas, you get much higher than 100 octane and you can bet there's lead in it.

Look into VP Racing Fuels:
Street Blaze 100 (Motor Octane 96, R+M/2 100) C10 (Motor Octane 96, Research Octane 104) Motorsport 101 "MS101" (Motor Octane 99, R+M/2 101) Motorsport 103 "MS103" (Motor Octane 99, R+M/2 103) Motorsport 109 "MS109" (Motor Octane 101, R+M/2 105, Research Octane 109). Every one of the above listed fuels are UNLEADED and have the disclaimer "Contains no metal compounds and won't harm catalytic converters or oxygen sensors." (Exception MS-109 is an unleaded fuel but does NOT state it will not harm Cats or O2 sensors).

I have this posted somewhere else just though you guyswould know better...
I just installed this v2 last week and i was a bit comfused how this torque adjustment works. It was give to us at 90% settings, and were supposed to do long pulls from 1st to 4th at wot. Watch the boost correct? and make sure it doesnt exceed 15lbs. I have mine set at 94% right now cause it consistently gives me 14.5-15lbs boost in every gear. If i put 100 octane does that mean i can set it to 100%. Wont this pass 15lbs of boost, im a little confused, i use 93 octane if bring it to 96 octane can i raise to 96%. Any help would be appreciated.

I think our cars would become retarded.. but seriously, I think the car might be tricked in that it thinks there is a lower boost with a higher octane fuel? I'm a low post guy so still learning that might allow you to drive at a higher boost...?

"Knocking (also called pinking or pinging)— colloquially detonation—in internal combustion engines occurs when combustion of the air/fuel mixture in the cylinder starts off correctly in response to ignition by the spark plug, but one or more pockets of air/fuel mixture explode outside the envelope of the normal combustion front. In non-diesel combustion engines, the fuel-air charge is designed to be ignited by the spark plug only, and at a precise time in the piston's stroke cycle designed for the engine. When Detonation (Knocking) occurs two or more combustion fronts will exist and their resultant collisions produce a sudden rise in cylinder pressure and a shock-wave which will reverberate around the cylinder[1]. The peak of the combustion process no longer occurs at the optimum moment for the four-stroke cycle. The resulting shock-wave reverberates in the combustion chamber, creating the characteristic metallic "pinging" sound, and pressure increases catastrophically. It can range from hardly noticeable to complete engine destruction." http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Engine_knocking
