1/4 Mile Advice/Tips/Techniques/Help
Whats up everyone. I've recently begun taking my baby out to Sonoma Raceway for some 1/4mile fun and I've learned a lot in my 2 trips there but now I'm looking to get better.
Please share your tips/techniques/input on things such as launches, tire pressure, cooling the car, etc and I'll share what I learn/know with you as well. Here are my slips from my 2 trips with one 12.49 run missing: First time at Sonoma ![]() August 3rd 2016 at Sonoma ![]() ![]() ![]() I've pretty much run every trip down the strip by driving around the water box with DSC off, car manually placed into 2nd, holding the brake and revving the engine between 2000 and 2500 rpms and then launching ON the green with the exception of the 2 times I tried leaving on Amber which are evident by the R/T's.... anything I can do better/different to help cut my 60's before I buy drag radials? I'd also like to know if there is a better launching method. Should I just launch in second without holding the brake and revving the car up or should I limit boost in 1st to 10psi and launch from 1st or something like that? ![]() I've had my fair share of bad shifts, CEL's, and other issues but as you can see I've had some decent runs too. Please share your input! Thnx!

That third run on my first trip to Sonoma I had just flashed to a different tune and the car took of in 3rd gear which is why the 60' is so bad...
