Stuck trying to remove front outlet vband

WTF am I supposed to do here?! The allen bolt for the front vband is pressed against the rear outlet pipe. I've tried bending that section of pipe with no luck. Also tried spinning the vband with a screwdriver, no luck. I don't even understand how it could have been done like this in the first place.

IIRC, I have a hex bolt on my V band. Did someone reinstall using a Allen bolt? Anyway...

I'm with you, don't get how this happened in the first place, unless is was hand tightened in another location, then twisted the DP during the install which moved the Vband.

If there's no way to get to the Allen bolt, I would try to freeze the DP with compressed air. Maybe it would ever so slightly contract making it easier to rotate with a screwdriver.

Sorry. I realize that's a long shot. Just don't know how else to get it off. Maybe a super small pipe wrench... Wtf

Pull the heat shielding out.

Cut an allen key to fit.

If it cant physically fit lever it iff the pipe witg something stiffer then what you were using. If its close you should be able to get great leveridge.

All that fails get a dremel and cut the v band.

Maybe the picture doesn't capture it properly, but there is zero room between the allen bolt and the pipe. None. I can't even move the heat shielding it's so wedged.

F it... I would just dremel off that head. Replace it altogether and use a hex bolt next time.
