To lci the arse or no

In a bit of conundrum.

I've got a pre lci e90 335i. Not really fussed how it looks to be honest as I bought it for performance but I've managed to source lci boot and lights for dirt cheap.

I don't know whether I should do the conversion or sell and buy pre lci all red lights.

Lci definitely upgrades the rear end but it's pretty common so I thought the all red lights would update the pre lci whilst looking a little unique...

Any thoughts on this?

Yes.
The back of pre lci is imo one of the worst BMW have ever made.

Yup I agree.. As well as that 3 series compact.. That whole car just looked awful.

But thay being said it's completely up to you. If you're happy with the pre lci look, then sell the parts! But if you prefer the updated look then by all means upgrade! Doesn't matter how common it is!

I've got the parts already.

Just thought it was quite common so thinking that perhaps having all red pre lci led lights would be more unique.

I don't mind the pre lci look tbh but seeing as I've got what I need I may as well pull the trigger.

If you're going to do the LCI conversion, can't just do the rear (in my opinion).

Darklines?

What colour is the car?

Black. I don't like darklines on black.

Not so interested in doing the front. Would get some depo angels with Led indicators to update the front.

If it means a new bootlid that has to be painted, I would not personally do this. I agree LCi looks a bit better, but dont think it is as bad as some people on here think (each to their own). I would personally avoid changing panels and painting it is more likely to raise suspicion when you sell the car.

In simple terms, if you want to do it, great, no issues; from a resale point of view it will have zero effect for 99% of your market and could put a few people off IMHO.

You think an lci back end would put people off? I thought it would have made it more desirable.

Bootlid sourced is already in the same colour. Essentially parts have cost me £200 and then I would do the Labour myself.

I think i will do it and see how I like it. End of the day I guess I could always take it off and sell it on if I wanted.

If boot lid is a match and already painted then go for it.
