BMW Boot Badge
Anyone bought one of these of Ebay that is decent. I don't want to spend £40 on a genuine BMW one but have bought the black carbon ones before and they lasted a year before going yellow.

I bought one for my e46 off Ebay a while ago for the bonnet and my first trip on the motorway saw the sticker just peel off and fly over my roof lol, needless to say I got a refund, I think I paid around £15 too!

yeh buy genuine here i think...
I bought a pair of standard looking badges off ebay for the front and rear to replace my tarnished ones. Fitted the front one, but the seller sent me the wrong size for the rear. They fixed that in the end, but i never got round to fitting the new rear badge. I've noticed the new front one already looks worse than the original rear one and its not even a year old. My brother bought some carbon ones, but again as you found the gel covering went yellow. Hes also had one where the badge came flying off like mentioned above. I know genuine ones are dear, but theres nothing worse than having to buy things again when the cheap one craps it after a short time. |

YES<<<<
that's what I did, in the end I purchased some from BMW, mainly due to the rear badge from ebay not conforming to the shape of the boot and the pins are slightly wider than the pin holes on the car along with the BMW badge has the chrome mount behind the badge unlike the ebay item..... |

The rear badge has a ring on the back that is very sticky, I initially tried the old fashion way, trim tool and screw driver, then I used the wife's hear dryer to heat up the sticky bit's and the trim tool to leaver it up with a cloth behind to avoid any scratching and then used the screw driver to finally push it off the car....
