Looks tidy and sounds fine. Check History on HPFP, injectors, water pump and turbos. Take it for a spin, windows down, radio off. Listen for any rattles from the turbos pre and post spool.

Make sure you have extra money for HPFP.

Rather than freak out about the now almost infamous list of things that may go wrong (that many seem to regurgitate whilst actually having not had half of those issues themselves) - mine had no problems with any of the above, by the way - just make sure you have some money to take out BMW's named component warranty.

On my 2009 335 with 80k on the clock, it cost me around £40 a month. That will cover any of the above issues should they arise (not entirely sure about the injectors....but check it out before purchase, as you can get an idea of cost of the warranty).

Hey All

Thanks for your comments and much appreciated. As for the warranty, the car will come with 12 months but it wont be with BMW Warranty. I did a quote on their website and it came up about £39 per month eith £250 excess. Seems a no brainer to me.

Looking forward to seeing the car now!

Thanks again

Chris

Pretty confident whatever warranty you get with the car won't be worth the paper it's written on.

Get the BMW warranty mate from the off if you decide to buy the car - it's a small price to pay for peace of mind (well, that was my view at the time).

They're great cars, but if you are the type to worry about what may fail (and because they are things that no amount of preventative maintenance you can perform will prevent) it does tarnish the experience a little.

Yeah was thinking off knocking the warranty that comes with the car on the head and just go for the BMW Warranty. Will definately give me peace of mind especially with some horror stories about HPFP, Wastegate rattles etc.

No, there's definitely a few guys that have had it go on them over here - but number of instances vs number of cars on the road
? Who knows, even if every single member on here said they'd had that particular problem, it'd still only be a tiny percentage of cars sold.

Defo defo get the BMW warranty!! It makes the ownership experience so much better

I've had replaced under warranty the following:

Water pump
Injectors (twice)
Coil packs
Wing mirror motor
Turbos

Without warranty, having all that done would have stung and ruined the experience.

Isn't it an Approved Used BMW, so that will have the best of the BMW warranties??

If it's help, Chris, or a reference point; chap who bought mine wanted me to start it from cold and rev. i did him a video, and just found it as a I'd uploaded it to Y/T with M3.

Mine is 2009 coupe, N54: and it's bone stock.
