mirror info / going back to PRE LCI

Hello Guys

bringing this old thread back to live with a slight OT question :-)

I recently changed our daily driver (E91 2008) to a newer version (E91 2011), but I really dislike the LCI mirrors... So I got hold of a pair of pre-LCI mirrors.

BUT - despite having checked all good, I learned that the pre-lci mirrors are 5 pin and I have the 3 pin on my LCI car...

Any suggestions to where I find info would be highly appriciated!

Thanks in advance!

Chris

That's mean your new car part is fine to fit folding mirrors without any rewiring. 5 pins mirrors will never works on LIN bus, so best way is to find 3 pins one.

My M3 (2013) has manual (electric) fold mirrors. Will coding enable them to fold with the key fob?

I have the 313 Exterior Mirror Package whatever that means. Carley states a LIN-Bus (usually installed with mirror heating) is required. How do I know if I have that?
