Just a thought.

I have had this 019 agm battery in the car for nearly 4 years and the stop/start has not worked for the last 6 months, but I have not really missed it. A replacement from the main stealers cost £316. I am thinking why pay treble the price of a normal 95amp.hr just to get the stop/start working again. I can get an ordinary battery for just over £100. I suppose it would still need coding in to the computer. Has anybody tried this? Is it feasible?

I'm pretty sure i saw the option on carly app to 'remember your stop start settings' so that you don't have to keep turning it off when you start the car.

I'm not sure if your car will accept the ordinary battery though...

Buy a good AGM battery, if capacity different or you change for standard one, then coding is required. Whichever way you go it must be register once is in car.

The question was, can an ordinary battery of the same amp hr be coded into the car.?
