Lightbulb Help with basics of lowering E92?

I'm not really fond of the stance of the stock E92, I feel the front is way too high, rear I am fine with.
I want to look into lowering my stance like the second picture, even that is much too low, I'd just like to close the gap at the front ideally.
I really have no idea what I am doing when it comes to this, does anyone have any advise as to what needs to be done and estimated cost at all>

This all depends on how low,

You have options,

coilovers, if you want to get that subtle low, but adjust to suite.

As for fitting, I normally do that my self but with my e93 I decided to ask a mate who is a mechanic to do this for me due to having to undo the rear arms and its a bit more involved then any other BMW I have owned.

Depends how much you want to spend.
You could just change the springs & keep the stock m-tech shocks that's your least expensive option.
I fitted apex springs with oem shocks on my 335i, springs were only £120 have had them fitted for 2 years & done 22k with no issues.
There are many paths you can go down, depends on how deep your pockets are
But whatever way you decide to go I would recommend changing your front top mounts & Spring seats at the same time. Then once the cars settled after a week or so a 4 wheel geo alignment will be needed.

So if I go down the apex spring route is it as simple as just swapping out the springs, any idea how much the drop would be?
That sounds more appealing than spending hundreds on coilovers

The pic you posted is of member Gotchuckz car.
He's on air bags from Airrex I believe... but he's "aired up" in that picture. Your best bet is to get a decent set of coilovers to have adjustment on exactly how high you want the car to sit. I don't know about pricing in your country but in North America, the average coilovers cost is about $1000. Add on another $400 or so for installation, height adjustment and alignment. I would not recommend just getting lowering anything for the fronts alone... you're gonna be running 2 very different spring rates with that. It's gonna make your car ride terribly.

Yes just get the springs changed, front top mounts if you want, I didn't change mine at same time as shocks but did the top mounts last month & it made a big difference to the steering, now feels smoother. A full geo is a must though

Okay thanks, What top mounts would i need to get?

Just have a look on ECP under suspension mountings. They bolt to underside of the suspension turret & & hold shock in place.

You want lowering perches at the front, there was a pair for sale in the classifieds, not the easiest to get hold of in the Uk.
