BMW coding Tool won't setup default folders
I'm trying to install Wildcatcrazy's BMW tools setup. But having big trouble. Each and every time I go to set these folders up I click on folder location in C drive and select OK but when I go to open the folder all I see is the contents of the C drive. No Edibas folder etc.
I am confused also as to what 3 folders Wildcatcrazy wants me to delete.. Ok I see the folder names, but where are they? Then what next? Copy the deleted folders from the BMW tool folder to C drive? Almost there I just need a little more help. Come on coders help me get started. |

The folders you are deleting are the stock ones that are created after the initial install. These are going to be replaced with the folders you downloaded... Follow the PDF, it's very straightforward.

Please translate as if you're teaching a 1st grader what to do. I get lost at step 14 b/c I don't know where they are to delete them. Then I'm not certain where the 4 new folders are that I'm to copy to the Cdrive. I 've been stuck here for hours!

For everyone who's having issues setting the default folders, it is because some of the downloads excludes "empty" folders. Therefore, make sure your folder structure on the C drive are as follows (if you're missing a particular folder, create an empty one):
C:\EC-APPS\INPA: BIN CFGDAT DEMO DOCU english english.met HELP PRT SGDAT source C:\EC-APPS\NFS: BATCH BIN CFGDAT DATA DOKU FORMAT KMMDAT SGDAT TRACE WORK C:\EDIABAS: API BIN DOKU ECU HARDWARE HELP SIM TRACE TUTORIAL C:\NCSEXPER: BIN CFGDAT DATEN PFL SGDAT STDAT TAB VERPLATZ WORK |
