Nice rims, but not quite the same as the originals. Your spokes start bending closer to the hub than mine (see pic). Good thing is that they are easy to keep clean ... so you will have more time to spend on those side skirts.

do you have the same problem on your M3's side skirts as i do? ie the brake dust comes down the ends of the doors...

i've never had that on my previous cars before... but maybe that's because this is my first white car so it's extra noticeable!

No such problem here. When the skirts get dirty it is pretty evenly distributed along them. I don't know if it is a significanly different brake compound used between the 3-series and the M3; but my last German car (an Audi S4 twin turbo) had very soft brake compounds that made lots and lots of dust.

So what do you think of the ride quality over the 17" RFT.

WELL...
to be honest i only found a marginal difference in terms of ride quality. it's not revolutionary but it does clean up the ride a bit.
i notice that over bumps the non-RFTs are a lot more forgiving and i dont get a shudder up my spine everytime i go over a pothole or some roughly laid bitumen.

tire noise is a bit less too... although i found that upon hitting 90km/h there seems to be a bit of a whirring noise that translates through to the accelerator pedal??? what's that about???

i haven't really tested the handling yet as i am still not happy with the outcome of the wheel alignment. the person at Beaurepaires said that he did not test drive the car after he did the alignment so he wouldn't have noticed that it still pulled a bit to the left. i'm just gonna have to bring it back in sometime this week i guess.

but all in all the looks i get along the street and the slightly improved ride quality do justify the more then AUD$2500 i paid of these wheels. i'm stoked!

I got the same wheels coming in and they are also going on an alpine white sedan. I hope I like them in person. If not my set will be for sale. Looking forward to more pics. You have a nice car my friend.
