Re-painting my UED Paint matching Grilles

Got these AW rings with glossy black slats from UED 3-5months ago.. they
're chipped pretty bad
just want to know how much does the shop usually charge to paint the the rings of the grilles
the slats are in good shape.
dont want to get ripped off
thanks

also would it be better to order a set of black plastic grills n then have them painted? which way is more durable for the paint on these grills?

problem is different shops charge different rates.

imho, a better option would be to get the matte black grills. you won't have to worry about chipping since the grills are made out of black plastic.

Exactly. You are going to run into this issue with any painted grill so if you are really hot on the look, be prepared to do this every so often. Another option is to laminX the grill but it may look odd on that small of a piece.

Like I said, you can put LaminX or clear bra over it but it may be very noticeable on that small of a part.
