E92 Died Again

Great, Driving down the motorway again and it starting flashing and feeling awful again!! Back in beema for a day picked it back up after having a replacement fuel injector and today it's crap again... just seeing some previous thread, has anyone else had all of their injectors replaced? I've had 2 replaced but think it desperately needs the others doing!

Not good mate!

I am not convinced that the software update on mine has sorted things.

Am sure all it's done is push the 'flutter' further up the rev range. Positive mine now seems to falter in 3/4/5 gear at 1700 to 2200 revs.

Can't be arsed taking it back at the mo. Just hope it doesn't go t*ts like yours Colsen.

Good luck getting it sorted!

There's a worrying amount of problems with E90/92/93 around here.

go to any car specific forum and u'll see that
people don't go on forums to post things like "so today, I had no problems... let's enjoy cookies"

There is some truth I what you say, but I also frequent other non E90/92/93BMW forums and have to say the problem don't seam so prolific and a lot's of the members cars are older.

I think I had a few days where my car was actually ok lol!
Yeah actually, now you mention it Bells, mine seems to be ok down the slower speeds, but now happens in higher gears.... I can't be bothered either really but I should get it booked in it'll only start to annoy me more!
I don't know if it's just a co incidence but I filled up at Tesco and that's when I started to notice it, so I'll run it dry and use Shell or BP see if it makes any diff...

Sorry to hear of your trouble Colsen. Hope you get it sorted soon. It really takes the good out of something if he keeps pissing you about.

Is it only petrol E9x drivers that are having problems (esp 320i it seems) or are there any diesel owners having problems too?

Bad news Colsen - please keep us updated. We need to form a body of evidence as it were so BMW can maybe make some objective assessment of the issue. Hope you get it sorted. Mine runs best on Shell V Power but I can't be arsed to pay that much every time...

My dealer has been pretty cagey about it all to be honest. They just said it's had the software update.

I did notice something on the job card about 'knock sensors' though???

Will live with it for now and see if it get's any worse. At least the damn engine light has stayed off since the work was done!! [have a feelin they took the bulb out...........]

Sorry to hear of continuing woes with the 320i. Doesn't sound too good (again). There must be something inherently wrong with this engine, as the reliability issues are just too common place to be 'isolated' incidents. With this in mind, please read my other post, as linked below.

Mine said that too but like I said several other people had had mechanical components changed, and my oil had been topped up. The fact that nobody would give me a straight answer on what had been done makes me wonder whether more had been done......

Hmmm well today I got the car clean and hoovered, tidied some crap out that had been accumulating in the boot and drove round a bit for fun and enjoyed the scream of the engine from 5.5k up to 7k with no problems. Cookies would be nice

Seriously though, although you are right to a certain extent it seems there are far more 320 problems posted than any others, something is not right somwhere....

hi bumps hows u?.....had mine back last week after the v28 upgrade...it def is quicker on the uptake!...but i can still feel the hesitation maybe a bit higher in the revs(albeit lighter in the mid 1500rvs)...and she's revd herself at idle a cpl of times now (like a big cough!)

..i think the software just teeks the idle rev a bit higher...as my original prob was when i had nothing on the pedal @1500 / 30mph....and maybe some resting when theres no speed..ish...i dont know!!...but sounds like they dont either!!!!

..had to top my oil last week too!!!...
