Another non-idrive to idrive retrofit questions forum

So I've been doing a ton of research and I think I have a good idea of what's required. I just wanted to verify a few things before I get to tearing apart my car.

I have an '06 330xi with Bluetooth, voice commands, SOS assist, and professional audio (Logic 7), no idrive. I'm looking to do the CIC upgrade. I realize I will need the following, feel free to correct me if I got anything wrong:

-CIC professional navigation headunit + trim
-Climate control trim
-CID 8.8"
-CID video cable to CIC + 8 pin connector & 22awg wire to tap power & CAN
-CIC idrive controller + 4 pin connector & 22awg wire to tap power and CAN
-8 bushing connectors for 8 & 4 pin connectors
-Double scoop dashboard + center speaker grill
-USB (glovebox) and cable
-Emulator + PNP harness
-FSC code (to activate based on original vehicles VIN)
-Coding to change VO and vehicle date
-FAKRA cable to run from trunk to CIC

I guess my biggest question is - am I missing anything in the above list? So far I have purchased the CIC unit, trims, usb and cable, CID and controller connectors, and center speaker grill.

Please let me know if this sounds right - Regarding the wiring in the junction box for the CID, it seems that I will be utilizing 3 spare pinouts in the existing harness (thus I'll use new bushing connectors and slide into harness). For one of the new wires, I will be using a pin on the existing harness that already has a wire. Therefore I'll need to splice the two wires together in a bushing connector and slide it into the harness pin?

For the CIC idrive controller, I just tap the wiring on the emulator harness? No need to bring to junction box? or is it preferred to go to the junction box for this wiring as well?

Do I need the FAKRA cable even though I already have SOS assist? I thought I read that the GPS signal is already wired to the headunit area with SOS assist.

Where can I buy an emulator? All those on ebay are international (long delivery time). For the PNP harness, I will need to move the fiber connections from the existing harness to the part of the PNP harness that connects to the CIC?

Assuming I buy the correct emulator, my voice control should still work right?

Is there a quality difference between CIC and CCC screen or are they identical?

Is there wiring in my center console for the additional USB port even though I currently just have the headphone jack?

And lastly, for those who have done this already - do you find yourself with rattles or vibrations? I love the quietness of the e90's cabin and do not want to risk having the interior sound like the inside of my trans am.

I realize these are a ton of questions but if anyone can take a stab at any of them I'd really appreciate it. I'd also like to thank booster, smithf32 and all the other DIYs and posts out there. Has been tremendously helpful!

A huge thanks to ArcticRik for providing me with a ton of information. Really appreciate it.

At this point, I'm searching for a dash and pnp emulator. Anyone have any experience with the ebay emulator from china:

wondering if its any good?

So you guys don't mind sharing the massive info at all?? lol

No rattles after completing the retrofit though. For peace of mind get electric/ felt tape to gather wires together. I've completed my retrofit for quite sometime now with the exception of factory connections. I plan to take out and redo it though, as Few modules have been throwing little hiccup errors since.

I don't mind answering questions, what's mostly what we were texting back and forth, he was confirming all the parts that were needed. It's a fairly simple and straight forward install once you get started, stay organized and you shouldn't have an issue. Coding is the main hurdle once everything is installed though

What sort of errors? I wired mine through the emulator and it's been fine, except this past weekend I got the red screen at start up and I had to reset the CIC by holding down the volume knob for 20-25 seconds
