335 pull/pull shifter

Has anyone done the mod On the paddle shifters from push/pull-up change to pull/pull?

I have read it's just a case off changing some wires around but I'm no good at wiring and scared of f*cking it up?

Cheers

As above it can be done and those threads highlight how to but it's straight forward tbh.

I personally would swap the paddles to the M3 variant of the LCI ones as I think they look better as well as moving to the proper single up/down shift paddle functionality.

Did the mod this morning, was straight forward enough, he's a quick step by step for any that aren't sure

1) remove the steering wheel cowel, the airbag does not need to be removed. Undo the 3 screws at the rear, and start at the top of the left hand side, slowly levering it up, move downwards along the airbag nice and carefully until it's all loose.

2) undo the one screw for each side for the multifunction buttons and put the cowel to one side

3) the connector for the paddles is the one on the side of the multifunction black with 3 wires, I carefully pulled and wiggled with long nose pliers to remove.

4) right hand side, remove the top pin, do this by lifting the flap, and I used an earring to press the pin down in order for it to slide out. I heat shrunk the pin and left it dangling.

5) left hand side, again remove the top pin, same as previous, this time remove the bottom pin and insert it into the top pins location and reassemble

The m3 shifters are much nicer yes, however for £250 I would rather put that money elsewhere

I have some M3 shifter for sale. And I don't want anywhere near that price for them. They are a great upgrade. I am only selling them because I am selling the whole car

A Picture by Picture post would have been nice, I want to do this but knowing me I would break some thing or set the air bag off.
