Looking for a Good Shop in South Bay
I recently moved to Palo Alto and I am looking for a good BMW shop for my e92. I tried Palo Alto Bimmer and was not that impressed. Also the day they fixed my stuck-on washer pump I noticed the brake fluid maintenance light came on which they (happily) wanted to fix for me.... hmmm.
I've looked into the Dinan shop in Mountain view and the reviews seem to suggest they're not that great and like to rack up long diagnostics charges. I'm not exactly looking for the cheapest, just the best value/most honest. Also I have a 3rd party warranty that makes me pay for taxes and diagnostics so a reasonable diagnostics charge would be ideal. Though since the warranty would be paying for most fixes, perhaps the dealer is the best place? If so any ideas on diagnostic charges? In the near future i'm going to need: - Oil change ($80 at Dinan) - Brake fluid flush ($180 at Dinan, $175 at PA Bimmer) - Remus exhaust install ($300 at Dinan.. seems high for a 30-60min job?) |

I go to Fast Lane European in San Jose. They do solid work and they accept warranties. The prices are fair but out of all the shops I've gone to in the area I've found them to be the most skilled and professional with my vehicle. Mason (owner) is a solid dude and I know a lot of people on this forum have brought their vehicles to him. |

You want the best around there? Go to Sonic Motorsports or Speed Element. Both pretty good.
