Hi all, I have a problem no one has been able to help me with so far ..

When accelerating, or under load I can hear a loud high pitch sound coming from left side of engine ( somewhere close to air filter, but you never can tell specifically .. ). Turbo charger is new (not repaired), DPF filter new, belts and tensioner new, water pump new, swirl flaps removed + sealed. We tried even with exhaust disconnected, still the same sound. EGR was temp sealed, still no change. Sometimes when engine gets warm, the sound disappears. The sound can be heard also when going down the hill with gear on. After starting when the car is standing, the engine is quiet. It starts at about 2000 rpm.

It seems to have been going on for a while but the sound is getting more and more intense. It started only under high load (gas pedal on the floor), now it is even when accelerating softly. It had been getting worse for about a year now.

My mechanic has a theory it could be electronic unit which spins turbocharger too fast under some circumstances (doesn't make too much sense to me).

If you need some additional info please ask. Cheers for any suggestions or tips.

Last time I heard a high pitch whine it was bad, Turbo went to turbo heaven
