Respray panel for a trolley ding?

A trolley pusher from a certain supermarket decided to crash into the side of my (sparkling graphite) 335 coupe and leave a small dent and scratch, it's not too bad but the supermarket have said to get quotes.

I'm worried if I go for the expensive option of a panel respray it might be noticeable to the trained eye as it's a 9yr old car so wondering if a chipsaway type repair (not them though) is a better idea given the size?

Thoughts?

As someone else is paying for it I'd have a proper job done as opposed to a 'smart repair'.
With today's technologies it's not hard to get a near perfect match and finish.

Doing a full panel repair doesn't mean they will Base coat the full panel, they will just blow it in and then lacquer the full panel, this option is a lot less noticeable than a smart repair.
Smart repairs are fine but if your one for polishing your car a lot you'll end up polishing though where they've faded out the repair

Was it the supermarkets employee that did it?

If so, and its on their insurance, go the whole hog!

If it was one of their other customers, I am very surprised they are even entertaining a repair!

I would get a full repair. Depending on where its damaged the shop can either color blend within panel or blend on adjacent panel. Just make sure you use a quality competent shop.

I hope Tesco are paying for this? They cannot legally absolve themselves of the responsibility especially if their staff caused the damage.

I guess as it was a member of there staff they have to sort it.
Unfortunately for me I've no idea who rammed my car with a trolley, I just came back to my car to see trolley up against my drivers door
