Do turbos line need to be changed with turbo replacement

I'm about to install new turbos since my stock turbos have 110 thousand miles and are super laggy and don't hit target boost any more. Are you suppose to replace all the oil and water lines for the turbo? Or are they fine to be reused.

No. Just all of the o-rings.

Sounds like you have another issue causing the lag.

Have you diagnosed it first before going into replacing the turbos? You may have a boost or vacuum leak

When I replace my turbos, I will. Seems like a small incremental cost to pay to make sure everything is new and avoid having to reinstall twice if there is a line issue later. JMO.

^ this. It would suck if you get the car back together then find leak, or discover you had build up in the lines.

Had my turbos replaced under warranty at 70k and the dealer replaced the oil lines for free because they noticed build up/gunk. It isnt much more to just replace while youre there.

For those who replace the lines, do you replace the coolant lines as well, or just the oil lines??

These were mine, and I just cleaned them up and reused them with new o-rings and all is fine..

As long as the lines are clear and not bent/kinked, you can (and should!) reuse them. You have to make sure they're clear though -the pic above is a great example of what you want to avoid reinstalling!

Yeah I actually put them through a high pressure cleanse and they came out looking better than stock lol.. Not that it matters because they're so hidden, but I had a better piece of mind knowing they were restriction free..
