Muffler Delete (Cabin rattling/vibrating noise)
Hi everyone,
for those who have performed Muffler Delete's on your cars, do you guys notice a rattling/vibrating noise in the back of the car? Would adding Resonators help eliminate this noise? 2011 e92 335 Coupe |

I added 2 vibrant 1792's and it pretty much eliminated the noise. It didn't completely go away, but it helped a lot.

So you added them to the straight pipe? Do you have an image of your exhaust system so I can show it to my muffler shop ? Thanks ! |

I have resonators and muffler delete on an E92.
I get a lot of rattling from the rear console and almost constant drone. Car came this way when I bought it; saving my play money for a real exhaust. |

I had a custom exhaust built with catless dp , straight mids and tiny ass mufflers. Drone was unbearable and basically loud as shit. Capped off 2 vibrant resonators near the mufflers and eliminated most if not all the drone. Still loud though. Needed bigger mufflers but I sold it and bought a Corsa catback and catted dp. Sounds much better but...still loud most of the time. I'm one hair away from selling my car with all my mods and I think I'm over it now.
Need a M4. |

I got the pics from this thread - http://www.e90post.com/forums/showthread.php?t=336138 I'm going to change the exhaust soon, the drone it just too annoying. If those pics aren't enough, just let me know if you need more. I am going to have it up on a lift next week.

Had a muffler delete on my 335. Sure it sounds nice , but the drone progressively made me regret the decision. I decided to put the mufflers back on. Best second "mod" i ever did lol. But now im stuck with something rattling in the front dash, it's driving me crazy...
