Best mod shop in north county San Diego?
As the question says, looking to go FBO on a E90 N55 since my warranty is finally about to end. Thought about going pure stage 2 immediately from stock but I think I'll phase this operation a bit by starting with just FBO. Can't seem to find a specialty shop local in Oceanside besides pure turbos but again....I have not really done more than google searches at this point. Specifically who is a wiz with JB tuners. Recommendations?

What is FBO? Also I know that Bimmerspeed in Clairemont Mesa area is pretty good with N54 and N55 engines. You might try giving them a call. They do very good work at a reasonable price.

It really depends on what you're looking to do.
I have tried to go to multiple places depending on what I need done. Jeef - Local San Diego guy, your local mechanic out of garage type of deal. In your area. Never asked ALL the things that he can do, but good guy and prices. Offset Motors - Far off in LA, did great job with Walnut Blast, OFHG, Spring/Shock Replacement, M3 Control Arms SSR Performance - Probably not too far from you to be honest, fair/great pricing from an actual shop. Open after hours for those that work regular day hours. Its all I have for now from experience. Good luck -James |

Mods
I would recommend Jeef in Poway. He's an awesome person to talk with and easy going.
He's helped me understand pros and cons for upgrading/mods and in what order for buying my FBO parts. A few months back I purchased stage 2 pure turbos and he's now helping me work through fueling. Highly recommend him
