Dashboard trim

I have a e92 335is, and when I went to start my car I noticed the trim around the vents that starts from the start button and extends out to the passenger side like move.

The trim starting from the start button to the first vent on the left side moves and seems to be loose. I tried pushing it in but it just wont stick. Any ideas why? Could it be cracked?

Take the trim off and look at the pins. Super simple just pry it up from the side by the door and work your way until you can get your fingers in. Should just pop out

I've noticed this exact same thing on my 2013 335i. The trim is slightly loose around the start button but tightens up after the center vents. Could this be normal? I'd hate to bring it to the dealership and have them muck with it if theres no need.

So what was your issue? Were the pins just loose?

Also, how easy was it to remove the trim? I'm a little timid about just reefing on the trim.

I haven't done it, I just dont want to waste money on the interior trim when its still holding up fine besides that one corner. But i linked you to the DIY i looked at..
