The Gold Coast Concours/Bimmerstock event, produced by Martino Auto Concepts/MAC Auto Couture of Glen Cove, NY, will be in full throttle on Sunday, September 18, 2016 as thousands of spectators will line the streets to check out hundreds of rare and or exotic cars on display.

The event will also have food, live music, goodies and much more fun for the whole family. It is free for spectators. There is a fee for those who would like to showcase their cars. All proceeds benefit the cure-focused work of the Diabetes Research Institute! Join us for a spectacular day!

The Gold Coast Concours / Bimmerstock charity event, will be in full throttle on Sunday, September 18th, 2016 as thousands of spectators will line the streets to ogle the gleaming cars and listen to the roar of their powerful engines.

The City of Glen Cove's downtown business district will be closed to vehicular traffic, as hundreds of exotic and luxury vehicles are showcased. BMW, Ferrari, Maserati, Rolls Royce, Aston Martin, McLaren, Porsche and Mercedes are among the exotic cars that will surely excite everyone from enthusiasts to fledgling fans. "It's a great day for the community of Glen Cove, a great day for car buffs and a great day for the Diabetes Research Institute," said Joe LaPadula of Martino Auto Concepts. He added, "We are proud to support the Diabetes Research Institute and to help educate the public about this disease through this exciting event." The Gold Coast Concours in Glen Cove, NY is an exotic lover’s dream that also raises money for charity. Over $338,000.00 has been raised to date to help find a cure for Diabetes. Highlights this year included a Porsche 918 Spyder, Koenigsegg CCXR and Ultima GTR and almost any model you can think of from Ferrari, Lamborghini, McLaren, Porsche, and many other makes.

Thousands gathered at the 8th Annual Gold Coast Concours / Bimmerstock to get a close-up look at some of the most exotic and rare cars in the world - all while helping a great cause on Sunday, September 18, in Downtown Glen Cove. This year, the always popular community event helped clock in more than $62,000 toward cure-focused work of the Diabetes Research Institute (DRI). This large community-supported event has helped raise more than $472,000 to date for the DRI.

Hosted by Event Co-chairs Joe Lapadula and Jon Holzer of Martino Auto Concepts - the company that presents this event every year - the car show did not disappoint with hundreds of supercars lining the streets including an Enzo Ferrari, Porsche 918 Spyder and other classic racers, exotics and specialty one-off vehicles.

While the cars were the highlight of the day, the event - which was emceed by Joe Manfredi from Old Westbury Web Radio - also featured entertainment for the whole family including live music by local bands, raffle prizes and plenty of delicious food options.
"I sincerely appreciate everyone's help in making this year's event such an amazing success," said Lapadula. "All who are associated with the event are grateful to our wonderful friends, sponsors, journal supporters and everyone who registered and displayed a vehicle, for being a part of this special day."

Local elected officials Glen Cove Mayor Reginald Spinello, who served as event honorary chairman, and Nassau County Legislator Delia DeRiggi-Whitton, a DRI Foundation board and event committee member, were also in attendance and proud to support this event once again.

"Everyone at Martino Auto Concepts, especially Joe LaPadula, organized an amazing event, and helped us raise money to find a cure for diabetes," said DeRiggi-Whitton - whose 18-year-old-daughter, Amanda, has had type 1 diabetes since she was 3 years old."I would also like to thank the Glen Cove police, EMS, department of Public Works, Auxiliary police and Mayor Spinello and the City Council for assisting with this event. As a mom with a daughter with this condition it means so much to see our city come together like this."
