Cracked Headlight
Okay so I'm not sure if this is the right spot for this but my drivers side headlight lens is totally cracked and it has been for a few weeks. It rained two days ago and I'm getting an adaptive headlight warning. How likely is it that my headlight modules are totally ruined? I did not run the headlights while it was raining, only the angel eyes. Aka I ran the headlights on the off switch, only DRL. And my cornering lights do not go on as DRLs anymore. Everything else works except for the Bi-Xenon headlight itself and the adaptive headlight movement.

It may just be the ahl module or ballast.

How likely is it that it's simply that? I'm getting the AHL light in my dash and well the one that is on doesn't move or anything. Is it really likely that its simply that?

Once the AHL error pops up it disables the adaptive portion for the headlight. (Failsafe mode)
I've also seen a burnt socket cause this same issue as well, but you would see this when changing ahl module and or ballast. The problem is most likely at the specific headlight not with FRM module if that is what you're concerned about. |
