e90 rear turn signal help
Got the bulb out light on my dash the other day, followed by the rapid blinking. Pulled the codes with my Carly scanner and got the following: "Direction indicators broken rear light 00A8B3"
Thinking the bulb was out, I bought two replacement 7528 bulbs and replaced them in the light....Hit the right turn blinker, and still the dash light comes on and rapid blinking from the indicator. The light does appear to still be faint, but all other lights in the tail light work fine including the LEDs. Any ideas on what to try replacing next? Thanks! |

Have you inspected the contacts?
Clean them with WD-40, the contacts are the #1 culprit to error for "working" bulbs. If they are faint, it may be another indication of a weak connection. |

Known problem. You need to replace the entire tail lights. BMW has a "repair kit" that includes both left and right outer tail lights for the price of one.

thanks. Can anyone else just confirm the above ^
I already replaced my left rear due to one of the LEDs failing, but wasn't aware a dim light on the indicator also required the tail light to be replaced. |
