Car on lift sign...
So i was driving to school today and im cruising and all of a sudden a red brake (same as E-brake sign) sign pops up near the speedometer and i look into the "check" thing through the blinker switches and it showed in all red a car on what seems to be a lift. Does anyone know what cause this to randomly go off just driving around. Am I safe driving the car around still or should I take it into service ASAP? I have 16k miles on my car btw and i have AA xede, exhaust, and bov.

I had a similar situation, and if memory serves me correctly, my dealer told me that I was due for a brake fluid flush. I think I had about 18,000 miles.
It's possible that the indicator light may signal a number of different issues, however I believe that a yellow indicator lamp indicates service soon while a red symbol recommends service ASAP. Just stop by your dealer - no appt needed - and hand them your key fob. It'll tell them what's going on. |

well yea i forgot to mention that I was awaiting the rear brake pad symbol to turn red on me. I think the same time the rear brake pad signal turned red, this other sign came on. Mike
